Boxers are the packing material of packing.
Use boxers, rolled works best for me, to fill in gaps in your bag when packing. This technique seems to be more effective when using a duffel bag, but if you want to use a backpack, it works for that too. This serves several purposes:
1. You won't forget underwear
2. Your bag will be tighter packed so
A. Your cloths will stay folded for the most part during transit
B. Electronics (and other items) are less likely to be damaged by bumping against each other
C. Less space is wasted (more efficient packing)
3. Using your boxers in this manner should allow you minimize the folding of your shirts and pants, thereby deterring wrinkling (this is because there should be room on the center/top of your bag saved by storing your boxers in this manner)
editors note: this principle can also be applied to tighty-whities (or whitey-tities)
