You can't enjoy waiting to get something or waiting for something to come out. You can only anticipate it and get excited. So- if it's not too expensive, don't wait three months for the price to go down, just get it! The less expensive the item, the less the price difference will be. You'll enjoy it sooner and more because you won't have time to build up expectations and be let down. Besides, instant gratification is awesome.
That's not to say spend without thought. If you know you really want something and have the means (it won't affect your lifestyle) to spend that much but it will improve your life somehow for sure to own that product- go for it!
