Binders. Once you get to college, in my opinion, you don't need them anymore.
Binders are bulky, expensive and not necessary when you aren't getting a lot of things to put in them. They also require the additional purchase of filler paper, and that's just a pain the the ass, isn't it?
In high school binders were great because you got a lot of handouts, many of which were three hole punched (is that supposed to be hyphenated?). A notebook or folder is not as good for organizing this type of information as a binder. In college, however, you get almost no handouts, which means that using a binder is silly. A binder with filler paper in it is just a more expensive, larger, harder to use (especially for left handed people) notebook. So... I just stick to notebooks (or legal pads.
