Is your eraser dirty? Does it smudge as much as it erases because it is black with the lead of your mistakes? Do you need to clean your eraser and you don't know how? The technique is simple.
You will need:
-your dirty eraser in need of cleaning
-a hand (must be attached to an arm of some sort and capable of holding and moving eraser)
-a desk or other even surface
I have found that the seemingly non-porous can write on and erase student desks found in many high schools are excellent for this purpose. Simply rub the dirty region of the eraser lightly on the desk. When you're done it will look all pretty and nice and shit.
Warning: don't do this too often, you will run out of eraser faster and that's not good for anyone except the people who make erasers and the retailers who sell them. You don't want to be a slave to the corporations, do you?

How about cleaning dry erase erasers?
I'm starting to teach classes and will probably use one extensively. It might be a good idea to learn how not to contribute to all of the whiteboard smudges.
