Tip 37, for 7/24/08

Sleep tips continued:

3. Remember in Office Space when Peter goes to the hypnotist? Use a similar technique. Relax one part of your body at a time. Start with your toes, then feet, then move up your legs. Relax your hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, chest and neck. Do it slowly and breath slowly and deeply. It's like a form of meditation if you do it right.

4. Your body likes to be a little cool when you fall asleep (cold is bad though). Ceiling fans are good for this, so are basements and most air conditioned places. Leaving more of your body uncovered will also help in the summer. Leave your shoulders uncovered, an arm or two, etc. experiment and see what is comfortable. Being totally uncovered is uncomfortable for some people (myself included), so I wouldn't go that far.
